The Importance Of Detox Water

Next to good air, good water is the most important component of good health.

The kidneys use water to get rid of certain wast products. If you don't drink enough water your kidneys don't have the amount of fluid they need to do their job properly. If the body does not have sufficient water, then the metabolic wastes will not be removed as efficiently as they should. In essence, the body would be holding in toxins instead of expelling them, as required for proper health.

Detox Water is water that has been infused with flavors of fresh fruits, vegetables or herbs. You can make detox water at home in lots of different ways and drinking it regularly will help you lose weight and boost your immune system.

Detox Water often starts with cucumbers because the diuretic properties that they contains help to flush toxins from your system as quickly as possible. Some people like to add raspberries and mint leaves. Raspberries have cleansing properties and mint helps stimulate the digestive enzymes. Ginger is also a great addition to detox water because it is one of the best things you can take if your trying to lose weight. Lemon and lime help with digestion and relieve bloating.

Dehydration is a common result of not drinking enough water. Symptoms of dehydration include burning and irritating urination, afternoon extreme fatigue, varicose veins, kidney stones, hemorrhoids and headaches. Just a 2% dehydration rate can cause a 20%decline in performance. At a 4% water depletion, muscle endurance diminishes and you start to get dizzy. At a 6% water loss, your body temperature is impaired and your heart begins to race. During a strenuous one hour of exercise you can easily sweat away more than a quart of water. It is recommended to drink half your weight in ounces of water per day.
