What Is Emotional Release?

Emotional release is a way of discovering past experiences that are keeping your body stuck in old patterns and giving you the tools to process them in a healthy way. It can help people release past trauma, unresolved negative emotions and limiting belief systems.

We are emotional creatures and we were born to express emotions freely and openly. Growing up many of us learned to repress our emotions in order to fit in, earn love and be accepted. The unresolved emotions get trapped in our body where they can build and fester, leading to burnout, imbalance and eventually disease.

Emotions need to be expressed to be processed. When we fail to express our emotions, our brain can often fall into the fight-or-flight state. This is a physical reaction to stress that can increase our heart rate, slow digestive function and make us feel anxious or depressed. It is important that we learn to identify and release trapped emotions.

Emotional release can help you find freedom from sadness, anxiousness, and anger, as well as physical problems including fatigue, discomfort and disease. It can help you to practice awareness and mindfulness and work on processing emotions in a healthy way. Also, it can help you face difficulties with self compassion and the understanding that it will eventually pass.
