Psychological acupressure is an alternative treatment used to reduce stress and restore balance. It's also referred to as tapping or Emotional freedom Technique (EFT) and has been used to treat people with anxiety, addiction, post-traumatic stress disorder and insomnia.
During the EFT process, a person is either guided by an EFT practitioner or is self-guided to focus on distressing thoughts or emotions while tapping on certain places throughout the body. These specific spots where the person is instructed to tap are known as meridians, which are similarly stimulated during acupuncture. The tapping with the fingertips is used to input kinetic energy into the body while you think about your specific problem and then voice healing affirmations.
Psychological Acupressure restores awareness and trust in the natural healing abilities of your body and works to release the blockages within the energy system to restore emotional harmony. Stimulating the meridian points thought EFT tapping can reduce the stress or negative emotions you feel from your issue, ultimately restoring balance to your disrupted energy.
