Trace Minerals For Optimal Health

Trace minerals are essential minerals that are used to help nourish your thyroid and adrenals, aid in detoxification, reduce signs of aging and support your immune system. Without them our cells would not be able to grow, function or produce any of the enzymes or hormones we need to sustain everyday living.

The trace mineral content of many foods is declining because of the nutrient-depleted soils they are being grown in. Many people are deficient in trace minerals due to overexposure to heavy metals and pollution. Symptoms of trace mineral deficiency include constipation, bloating, abdominal pain, reduced competence of the immune system, loss of appetite, irregular heartbeat, increased muscle cramps, numbness and tingling of the extremities, nausea and vomiting.

You can prevent trace mineral deficiency by eating alfalfa sprouts, sea vegetables, fermented foods, leafy green vegetables, avocados, and high quality sea salt. Drinking teas made from red raspberry leaf, dandelion, and nettle will restore your trace minerals as well as supplementing when necessary. Generally you need about 20 milligrams of each trace mineral on a daily basis.
